TOP 5 Swedish works of genius

Lennart Green – The Classic Green Collection
I remember being flabberghasted by the Lennart’s laser deal at a ‘90s magic convention. His quirky humour combined with the slightly messy card handling that hides the masterery of original techniques produces an act that is a complete joy to watch. Reminicent of Derek Dingle. From the Top Shot to the Laser deal it all taught on this 6 DVD set.

Tom Stone – Vortex Off the Page
Why the Tom Stones books remain out of print is a mystery. Vortex removed the limits to what I believed was possible with close-up magic. This DVD will encourage creativity and pushing of boundaries of tricks you already have in repertoire. Alternatively you can learn the routines which have already stretched the achieveable. Toast For Charon, Gold Wielder and Benson Burner are real works of genius.

Peter Groning – Resigned to Miracles
Gaining a duplicate signed card unknown to the signee has been called the holy grail. Peter Groning sprung from nowhere to announce to the world he has been doing just that for the last 40 years!
The method is simple and perfect, yet it is the effects Peter includes involving the signed card that truly amaze. Peter has been waiting for 40 years for someone else to come up with the same idea, the fact no one has is testament to his genius.

Thomas Blomberg – Blomberg laboratories
Somehow Thomas Blomberg manages to tip card magic on its head. Combining methods and plots in a unique way to make seriously good magic. His skill his level, knowledge of mathematics and other principles makes him an awesome talent but it is how looks at effects from a new angle that pushes him into genius.

Axel Adler – Penguin Lecture
I’m a bit irritated by the Axel Adler, he is just too young to be this good. He appears to have truly studied the classics of magic, mastered the traditional techniques and then created some of his own. Blended with his performance skills, you have a master of magic. It may be too soon to call Axel a genius, I’m still hoping he may get into girls and booze, but if not his next work will surely be remarkable.
