This book from Daryl was originally published in the early 80s and believe me it shaped a lot of the magic that was to come in the future and indeed the present day.
This slim book contains some close-up blockbusters which will improve any magician’s arsenal. This is the sleight of hand Daryl, not the easy yet highly commercial tricks Daryl which came later.
He takes on the classics such as Coins Across and Triumph and puts in all the work and touches. His Triumph display is legendary.
His Papa Hits the Big Time is a sponge bunnies routine which is very fun.
The real treats for me are The SnowShoe Sandwich, a trick almost everyone was doing (or trying to) in the 80's and which saw the birth of the Hot Shot Cut. It is a highly entertaining trick which allows you to justifiably show off some skills without appearing cocky. And of course Psychological Ace Assembly which is a suberb no gaff assembly.
If you want really great close-up magic which may not be easy but will definitely amaze and entertain then this is the ideal book.
