PropDog has been asked for years if we can provide or make a reel suitable for the famous Silk Through Microphone trick.

We had tried several times in the past, but just couldn’t find or make a reel long enough, smooth enough or strong enough.

But we’ve now found the solution.  We’ve found a great reel from China and then put the PropDog touch on it.  With Dave Bonsall’s years of experience with reels and the Ring Flight Revolution, Dave has stripped each reel down, re-engineered it, inserted teflon discs to give it that ultra smooth feel, changed the line to a much thinner, stronger and hard wearing abrasion resistant fluorocarbon, lubricated it and then given each a new Ring Swivel end to the line, to make this the perfect reel for Silk Through Microphone at a great price!

• The reel can of course be used for hundreds of other effects.
