PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE FORKS ARE DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY AS REFILS FOR EXISTING FORK BENDING ROUTINES. THERE IS NO ROUTINE SUPPLIED WITH A PURCHASE OF THIS ITEM. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MORGAN STREBLER'S LIQUID METAL, AS AN ACCOMPANIMENT FOR OUR FORKS.

Dear Customer,

I love metal bending routines, they are very visual and always allow you to give away a great souvenir to the spectator. Morgan Strebler's Liquid Metal routine for example, is a great routine with the perfect give away. However, my problem has always been that in order to perform these routines, you need a really soft fork. Most magicians will look for the cheapest, softest forks they can as these are the easiest to bend.  This means that the spectator can later examine the fork or spoon and see that it's very soft and can even straighten it easily, this kind of gives the game away a little in my eyes.

Because of this, I decided to try and find a solution and spend several months studying metallurgy and blacksmithing techniques and a process called 'annealing', the result is a major breakthough in metal bending!

We take regular forks made of 18/0 stainless steel, that are EXTREMELY difficult to bend, we then heat these forks to a very specific temperature along a certain line on the prongs and at the base of the prongs where you'd twist the fork head.  We then cool the forks VERY SLOWLY over several hours.  The forks at this stage are now black and encrusted with heat scale and oxide.  We then acid treat the forks, then clean them up through several other processes and polish them to a shine leaving the forks looking as good as new.

This heat treating process, called Annealing, now means the steel molecules are now in a scattered state, so the fork is VERY soft at the treated points.  But once you bend the fork, either at the prongs or the base of the fork head, it stretches the steel molecules and realigns them.  This strengthens the steel to back to it's original state.

So the end result is a fork that bends like butter, but can't be bent back!

These forks are not cheap, so they won't be for everyone and we make virtually no profit from these due to the above processes involved, for us it's more about the publicity we'll get from these as it's such a breakthrough in metal bending and of course it will attract more customers to the shop, so please do not ask for a discount for bulk purchases.

If you perform a metal bending routine, then check these out, I know you'll love them
