TOP 5 Russian Roulette Effects

Risk by Francesco Tesei
This is cheap to put together yourself, very easy to perform and very safe unless of course you forget the method yourself. The volunteer can pick any staple gun from the bunch, no peeking or forcing and fire it into your body or hand etc. I did use my forehead once and although no staple was in the gun the power of the mechanism did draw blood, just a warning. It is simple and highly effective and if you want to try out such a routine a cheap way to start.

The Pain Game by Jon Allen
The terrific Jon Allen jumped on the turn-table of routlette with this wonderful routine. A 100% safe smash and stab with a nail hammered into a block of wood. It isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for, a brilliant, safe routine which looks as dangerous as they come.

Shattered by Scott Alexander
Probably the pinnacle of smash type routines and methods out there currently. This an offering by Scott Alexander and is completely safe. The safety does not come at the cost genuinely looking like you are putting yourself in peril. I must note I believe this was first published by as a trick by Patrick Kuffs in a booklet by David Acer. Scott has gone through the trouble of making it up so you get everything you need in the package and actually at very little extra cost than of you bought the items separately. It is very popular for a reason!

Angling by Gaeton Bloom
This one is just for fun and instead of offering the magicians life or immienent pain upon the conjuror, it gives the spectators a chance to win. I nice spin which I love because it gives an chance for the comedy performer to have fun. I do apologise because you need to buy his DVD and actually put it together, but it isn’t hard and I have the rewards far out-weigh the effort. I used it in my Magic Circle exam!

Hook by Eric Ross
The newest release on this list is certain to become a classic. A triple speared fish hook are put into the magician mouth, the spectator pulls the strings hard. Will they pull the hooked one and tear through the magicians gums and lips? No, because it very safe provided you take care in the set-up. Terrfic suspense is created in this trick it is almost impossible for any spectator not to squirm. It also fits into your pocket, making the only version in this list suitable for walk-around style situations

No Nailed It by Scott Alexander? Personally, I would put that above all the others listed here. Looks good, plays great, and TOTALLY safe. Reply to this comment
