TOP 5 Monte Style Tricks

The 3 Card Monte by various
Vernon raved about this routine and if you have seen it performed (for fun not money) you'll know why. I honestly don't think there is naturally more entertaining card trick in the world. It is just three ordinary cards and pure sleight of hand, yet far from difficult. The amount of milage you get from a few moves is amazing. This is a huge buzz to perform and your audience will love it too. Daryl has a really good tutorial on it with all the tips and extra thoughts. If I could only learn one card routine, this would it. Tricks don't come any better.

Stand-Up Monte by Garrett Thomas
Garrett Thomas has created a combination of the wild card and the 3 card monte that gives you amazing visual card changes. It is gimmicked and yet so much of the magic happens in the audience members hands that it seems so above board the cards are above suspicion. The routine develops nicely with each phase, getting more and more impossible before a finale which leaves you clean. A true worker for the professional and the amateur alike, great fun to perform.

Skinners Aces by Michael Skinner
The orginal gimmicked 3 card monte (as far as I know) was incredibly popular when released but has faded away with fashion. It had a new lease of life thanks to Bill Malone showing it on his excellent On The loose DVD's and if it is good enough Bill I'm pretty certain it is good enough for the rest of us. It is a fooler and easy to do, the cards do all the work leaving you to just spread the joy.

3 Card Joe by Joe Monti
Take Skinners Aces to the stage. Bigger isn't always better but Joe Monti found a close-up masterpiece that was ideal for a stage presentation. As with Skinners Aces the cards do the work and the script virtual directs you so it easy to remember each phase. The quality of the props are amazing and will last a life time. A true packs small, plays big parlour/stage trick with built in comedy.

Ultra-Monte by Daryl
Daryl knew how entertaining the 3 card trick which is probably why he developed this gimmicked version for those a little shy of sleight of hand. It is similar to the Skinners Aces in style of gaff but Daryl adds his spin and few know better how to make a routine great.
