TOP 5 Bank Night Routines

Yours, Mine, Mystery by Jamie Raven and Paul Martin
This is probably the most complete Bank Night routine you can buy off the shelf. The envelopes are very durable and if the worse happens you can get replacements. The actual routine has little in originality but it merges the best from all the others into one masterpiece. Getting the trick this honed is down to the number of times Jamie and Paul have performed it and revised it seeking the ultimate Bank Night routine. It is comedy gold which packs small and plays big!

Blank Night by John Archer
John Archer may have surprised himself more than Penn and Teller when he became the first to fool them. The method is ingenious, making the routine not only sure-fire, incredibly convincing even with a stack of notes but also very easy. It was originally a download but has since been released with all the gimmicks ready-made. The actual routine owes a lot to Sean Taylor's Persuasive Bank Night which can be found in his book Mindstorms.

Bank Night by Richard Osterlind
If you like you Bank Night played straight and as a genuine mentalism routine Richard Osterlind is your man. This is the classic and probably cheapest method which is direct and effective. Osterlind lets the trick speak for itself, doing just enough to remind the audience of the stakes and the fairness. A purists Bank Night.

Lucky Number by David Regal
I'm a big Regal fan and this was the routine that had me most excited by his book Interpreting Magic. There is a clip of David performing it at the Magic Castle on-line somewhere, which should convince you of how wonderful this trick is. The cleanliness of everything and the shocking shredding of the envelopes elevates this routine above most. It isn't sold as stand-alone trick yet so you will need to get the book, which contains loads of other great tricks too. I love it.

I Hate Kids by Stephen Bargatze
No one can manipulate and be as cruel to a child as Bargatze and still have the audience loving him. I saw him live and was crying with laughter. However, Bargatze's performance belies the difficulty and risk of doing this routine as he does. Personally I'd tone it down if I doing it for a child, at least until I found the breaking points through experience. It is still an awesome routine for adults to though, when you can really mine for all the comedy without too much risk.
