Conjuror's Wisdom by Joe Hernandez
This isn't a book of tricks, scripts or even critical theory of magic and presentation. It isn't even a joke book or a joyous historical celebration of magic.
It is a collection of 3000 musings about magic by Joe Hernadez, most of which are well worth reading. Some are funny but all should be thought provoking in some way and hopefully will get you thinking about an aspect of your magic life. It is simply a nice little book to randomly dip into when you have a spare moment and just spark a flame of inspiration. If you are looking for a gift for a magician, or a book to keep in the loo, this is the ticket.
Below are 5 snippets from the book I have picked entirely at random:
"Realize there is no such thing as a perfect trick"
"Make a concious effort to never look at your hands"
"Strive for excellence, and your audience will appreciate and recognize it."
"Never use two thumb tips on one hand"
Please don't judge it by the cover!
